About Connie Barnes

Connie and Buddy

Connie Barnes confidently challenges the doom and gloom outlook of today’s real estate market with many references to prove it. “There are buyers out there, and if you have a good home that’s priced right, it will sell.” A bay area native and sales success story since the age of sixteen, Connie began her real estate career in 1991 after moving to Sacramento and marrying her husband of 17 years, Jim.

It was probably the worst time to get started, but she knew that if she could make it in a down market, continued success would follow. It did―after working in the resale area for Dunnigan Sierra Oaks Realtors and Remax Gold River Realtors, Connie was offered a position selling new homes for the Westwood Company in Gold River. “Selling new homes was a great learning experience for me, especially working for Curt Westwood, who taught me about construction and the art of land acquisition.”

This experience lead to sales manager positions with Parker Development Company (developer of the Parkway in Folsom and Serrano in El Dorado Hills) Woodside Homes of Northern California, and, most recently, Toll Brothers Pinnacle at Serrano, “I’ve sold at least 400 homes over the years―from starter homes at $150,000 to well over $1,000,000 luxury properties. Connie’s goal has always been to help new and former clients find the home of their dreams. It may be new―or resale, but Connie now has the freedom to do both.
