Business Segments for Real Estate Photography

We provide our listing clients with the services equivalent of that of a commercial photography service. The difference is that our services are reserved exclusively for Connie Barnes Real Estate clients.

We break down real estate photography services into 3 general segments.

Commercial Photography

If you are selling a muli-million dollar property, you would expect your agent to hire an architectural photographer specializing in high end and commercial real estate. Commercial photographers have a significant investment in equipment, are highly skilled and command top dollar for their work. The equipment used in this category can capture images impossible with ordinary cameras. They will shoot RAW images and combine natural and artificial light with multiple bracketed exposures. Post production process includes using high end software like Adobe Photoshop CS5 to process every image to ensure proper exposure and accurate color. The photographer may need to make several trips to the property to take advantage of natural lighting conditions.

High Volume Franchise Photography

More common are the real estate photography firms that work on high volume basis and provide turn-key marketing solutions for the agent. The photographers are independent contractors and are required to purchase their own equipment which can vary widely in quality. The focus is on managing costs and time. The agent almost always selects the level of service proportionate to the listing price of the home. These services are surprisingly affordable to agents however results can vary from below average to very good.

Do-it-yourself

Despite the fact that the high volume real estate photographers provide a fairly affordable service, there are still plenty of agents out there use their iPhone or compact digital camera to shoot the listing themselves.
